one of the beams for our pergola arrived damaged and used, beam was cracked, a sheared bolt was in one of the screw holes, which we couldn't extract. The manual and website said customer service was available 7 days a week.
We tried sending multiple messages via the website, no response. We tried calling the toll free number it was canned voicemail, suggesting we try the email. We tried email, got some generic reply to send a photo of the manual, copy of the order, and a picture of the damaged beam, which we sent. To date no reply from the email exchange.
Probably will never get a response or the needed replacement part.
We were originally going to use the pergola for a wedding celebration, which is now a no-go. Do not purchase from Sunjoy, if something breaks or you get damaged pieces you're on your own.

It's still under warranty. I emailed them but didn't receive all the parts I needed. I emailed them again; they said they would resend but never did. So I called, and they hung up on me and blocked me from calling, and no one answers my emails.
It took me a while to save up for this gazebo; it's just me alone. So I can't afford to just throw it away and buy another.
I'm going to look into what else I can do, call the news, or file a complaint in court. It hurts when you have nothing, just trying to get a little joy in your life, but a company like Sunjoy can do this to people and get away with it.

- - Two 10x10 and two 10x12 were promised; all are 10x10.
- - Flyer says STOP-DO NOT RETURN TO RETAILER.
- - I sent photos, yet they keep asking the same questions.
They have done everything possible to have me jump through hoops to get this taken care of. I'm actually at the point that I'm finished.
I'll make do with the product I have and figure the rest out.
I will NEVER purchase from them again or recommend that anyone else does. That's what I get for impulse buying.
Once they were hung we realized that they were all 10x10. Since the flyer in the box said STOP-DO NOT RETURN TO RETAILER I reached out the the company and asked for another panel so I could complete my project since I was short. I have sent them multiple pictures multiple times including the box, my receipt, the price label and the QR code and they keep coming back and asking me the same questions. Can you say "bots"?
The last one said I needed to take all the panels down (not easy to do) and measure them, showing the ruler as I do so.
So now I have to submit videos? If I had my way I'd take the whole thing back to the store but apparently I can't do that.

I recently purchased a Pergola through Sunjoy. Product arrived on time and the material appeared to be good quality.
I began putting the Pergola together and ran into an issue with a bracket. After installing the bracket, it caused the beams to bow really bad. I made sure that the Pergola was squared and the beams were still bowing really bad. I tried contacting Sunjoy, email only, and did not receive a response until a week later.
During this time, I located another email and made contact with customer service. I expressed my concerns with the part not properly fitting. The responses were very generic and not helpful. I requested for a phone number so that I could speak with someone and the agent ceased communications with me.
I found another email for refunds. I received a quick response and directions on how to return the product. The second I requested to speak with someone, communications with this agent ceased. I have tried calling the only number listed, and am disconnected after selecting an option.
This has been the worse customer service I have experienced. I simply need a bracket with the correct measurements, and I cant get anyone from Sunjoy to help.

The rep seemed inexperienced. I said I was a customer of sunjoy and I offered him my email.
His responses took way too long. I explained to him I was having trouble trying to purchase a light and wanted to redeem some points.
He couldn't grasp that.
What bothers me is that he said in his recap of our call that I was confused and I didn't give him my email. Odd that his recap was sent to my email address.

Spoke with a customer representative for about 45 seconds, they asked for my email. After about four hours, I received an email from them asking me what my issue was?
The next day they responded to that email asking me what parts I needed to order.
I gave them a list of parts that I needed to order. This is day three and I havent received a response yet.
Can’t get a replacement part

We owned the canopy for 3 weeks, a massive wind storm come through and destroyed it. Said company tells us it is not covered under warranty
Complete destruction of gazebo due to very high wind and rain. Rivets ripped out of post, cross bars bent and attachment brackets were bent.
Windscreen and exterior tarp are torn. Top mounting bracket is also bent for the canopy.
- Very good quality product
- We love the ease to put together
- Unaware of how much damage could be done because of high winds
- Was anchored into concrete and still ripped from the ground

I received a damaged part to my gazebo. I told them I didn't want a replacement part but would like some consideration when I purchased the screening and curtains.
I spoke to Ms. Cui and Ms. Zhang.
Both seemed to be bots giving me automated answers to every question I posed to them. Has anyone else has this experience?
Preferred solution: Credit towards screening and curtains
