New Reviewerone of the beams for our pergola arrived damaged and used, beam was cracked, a sheared bolt was in one of the screw holes, which we couldn't extract. The manual and website said customer service was available 7 days a week.
We tried sending multiple messages via the website, no response. We tried calling the toll free number it was canned voicemail, suggesting we try the email. We tried email, got some generic reply to send a photo of the manual, copy of the order, and a picture of the damaged beam, which we sent. To date no reply from the email exchange.
Probably will never get a response or the needed replacement part.
We were originally going to use the pergola for a wedding celebration, which is now a no-go. Do not purchase from Sunjoy, if something breaks or you get damaged pieces you're on your own.
User's recommendation: Do not purchase from Sunjoy unless you have a metal fabrication and wood working shop available to fix damaged parts, you're good at welding and fabricating, which if you were, you'd probably just build it yourself anyway.
Monetary Loss: $2400.
Preferred solution: just a replacement part, the pergola is useless without it the missing beam.
Sunjoy Industries Cons: Non-existent quality control on parts, No customer service.
